Farmable + METOS: A Game-Changer for Farm Managers with Live Weather Integration
At Farmable, we’re all about making life easier for growers. That’s why we’re super excited to announce our latest collaboration with METOS – a leader in weather stations for agriculture. We’ve now integrated METOS weather stations directly into the Farmable platform, making it easier than ever for farm managers to access hyper-local weather data right in the app.
This integration is available for all Farmable Pro users, and it’s a perfect example of how agtech teams are coming together to improve farming operations and make farm management smarter, faster, and more efficient. Let’s dive into what this means for you.
Why This Matters for Farm Managers
Weather is everything in farming. The success of your crop relies heavily on knowing when to plant, when to irrigate, and when to protect your crops from pests & disease. In the past, getting accurate, localized weather data could be a real hassle. You might have to rely on general forecasts or make sense of weather patterns that don’t always match what’s happening right in your orchard.
With the Farmable and METOS integration, you’ll get real-time, hyper-local weather data delivered straight to your fingertips. Whether you’re checking the forecast and want to verify Delta T before a crop application or getting ahead of a storm, you’ll now have the most up-to-date weather information available without having to leave the Farmable app.

What’s New?
Farmable’s integration with METOS weather stations allows you to access the following essential weather data for planting, spraying, and harvesting:
- Wind speed and direction
- Leaf wetness
- Air temperature
- Relative humidity
- Dew Point
- Precipitation
- Wet and dry bulb temperature ( Delta T)

Why It’s Great for You
This integration is all about empowering you as a farm manager. Having hyper-local, accurate weather data at your fingertips means you can make better, data-driven decisions that impact your crop yield and profitability. From planning irrigation schedules to assessing frost risks, having real-time weather updates helps you stay ahead of potential problems.
And since this integration is available for Farmable Pro subscribers, it’s a game-changer for those who already rely on Farmable for everything from farm planning to data tracking.
The METOS integration upgrades your Farmable Pro Experience with:
- Real-time weather data: Get updates every 5 min on temperature, rainfall, humidity, wind speed, and more – all customized to your farm’s specific location.
- Hyper-local forecasts: Weather changes can vary greatly from one area to another, especially on larger farms with diverse microclimates. With METOS stations, you’ll receive forecasts tailored to your farm’s exact conditions.
- Delta- T temperature: Farmable will automatically calculate Delta T by subtracting the wet bulb temperature from the dry bulb temperature, measured by your METOS station.

Want to learn more about Delta T?

Fig.1 Credit to METOS : The relationship of Delta T to temperature and relative humidity. A common spray guideline is to spray when Delta T is between 2 and 8, with caution below 2 or above 10 (yellow areas). A Delta T value above 8°C is associated with higher temperatures and lower humidity, if lower than 2°C it is related to high relative humidity values.
