TL;DR: The farm Owner turns on Farmable MCP in the Farmable Web Portal under Settings. Then, in Claude, go to Customize → Connectors, find Farmable, select Connect, and sign in with your Farmable account. In a chat, turn Farmable on under + → Connectors and ask your question.
Who is this for?
Farm Owners and Managers who use Claude on the web, the desktop app, the mobile app, or Claude Code.
Before you start, you'll need:
a Farmable account that's the Owner or a Manager of at least one farm; and
a Claude account. Free accounts can connect too.
1. Turn on Farmable MCP in the Farmable Web Portal
In the Farmable Web Portal, go to Settings → Integrations, open the MCP tab and turn on Farmable MCP.
Only the farm's Owner can do this, and nobody can connect until it's on, the Owner included. It can't be turned on from Claude. If you're a Manager, ask the Owner to turn it on.
2. Find Farmable in Claude
In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors. Find Farmable and select Connect.
Note: On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner of your Claude organization adds Farmable first, under Organization settings → Connectors. After that, each person selects Connect and signs in with their own Farmable account.
3. Sign in with your Farmable account
Sign in with your Farmable email and password. Claude opens again, and Farmable shows as Connected.
You only connect once. Farmable then works in Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile.
4. Ask your question in Claude
Start a chat, open the + menu, select Connectors, and turn on Farmable. Then ask your question.
The first time Claude reads from Farmable, it asks for permission. Select Allow.
You don't chat in Farmable itself: your questions always go in Claude.
Using Claude Code instead
After step 1, run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http farmable https://api.my.farmable.tech/mcp/farm
Then start Claude Code, type /mcp, select farmable, choose Authenticate and sign in with your Farmable email and password in the browser window that opens. The Claude Code extension for VS Code uses the same settings, so Farmable works there too.
Disconnect Farmable
Claude: go to Customize → Connectors, open the ⋯ menu next to Farmable and select Remove.
Claude Code: run
claude mcp remove farmable.

Farmable still shows Connect or Reconnect. What now?
The sign-in didn't finish. Select Connect again and complete the Farmable sign-in page.
Can my team share one connection?
No. Each person connects with their own Farmable account, so Claude only sees the farms where that person is the Owner or a Manager.
Can Claude change my records?
No. The connector is read-only. Keep recording work in the Farmable app.
