TL;DR: The Farmable MCP connector lets Claude, ChatGPT or Codex read your farm records and answer questions about them. It's free on every plan and read-only, it's for farm Owners and Managers, and each person signs in with their own Farmable account.
Getting started
It's a secure link between your Farmable account and an AI assistant, built on MCP (Model Context Protocol). Nothing is shared with an assistant until you add Farmable there and sign in with your Farmable account.

Do I need Farmable Pro?
No. The connector is free on every Farmable plan.
Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan?
Not for Claude: Free accounts can connect too. For ChatGPT and Codex, what you can install depends on your plan and, on a work account, on your admin.
Can I connect more than one assistant?
Yes. Each connection is separate, so you can use Farmable in Claude and ChatGPT at the same time.
Access
Who can use the connector?
Only the Owner of a farm and its Managers can use the connector. Other roles, such as Crew, Drivers, Advisors and Admins, can't use it.
Who turns on Farmable MCP?
The farm's Owner, in the Farmable Web Portal under Settings → Integrations. Nobody can connect until it's on, the Owner included, and Managers only get access once the Owner has turned it on.
Can I turn it on from Claude or ChatGPT instead?
No. For safety, Farmable MCP can only be turned on in the Farmable Web Portal. This stops farm data being read by an AI tool without the Owner agreeing to it.
Which farms can the assistant see?
Only farms where you're the Owner or a Manager. If you manage more than one farm, name the farm in your question.
Can a farm owner turn AI access off?
Yes. The owner can turn AI assistant access off at any time under Settings → Integrations in Farmable. While it's off, no one on the farm can read it through an AI assistant, the owner included. A connected assistant is refused on its next request.
Can my team share one connection?
No. Each person connects with their own Farmable account and only sees their own farms.
Disconnecting and revoking access
How do I disconnect an assistant?
In the assistant's own settings. Each setup article ends with the steps — see How do I connect Farmable to Claude?, How do I connect Farmable to ChatGPT?, How do I connect Farmable to Codex? and How do I add Farmable by URL?.
Can Farmable revoke my assistant's access?
Yes. Write to and we'll revoke all access issued for your account.
Does changing my password disconnect my assistants?
No. Changing your password doesn't disconnect them on its own. Disconnect in the assistant, or ask support to revoke access.
What happens if I delete my Farmable account?
All AI assistant access is revoked immediately, and the logs below no longer identify you.
Data and privacy
Can the assistant add or change records?
No. The connector is read-only. It can't create jobs, edit notes or delete anything.
What can the assistant read?
The same data you see in Farmable, including details about farm members, seasonal workers and customers. See What is the Farmable MCP connector? for the full list. Only connect a farm if you're allowed to share that information with the AI company you've chosen.
What happens to the data the assistant reads?
It becomes part of your chat. The AI company stores and processes your chats under its own terms, its privacy policy and your settings with it. It isn't Farmable's sub-processor: you choose it, and your own agreement with it decides how it keeps your chats. Check its settings for chat retention and model training before you connect.
What does Farmable keep?
Two technical logs. We don't store your conversation or the data returned to the assistant.

Request details are stored only as IDs, dates and selected options. Any free text you typed is replaced by a placeholder. If you delete your account, both logs stay only as anonymous statistics.
Does the assistant get my Farmable password?
No. You sign in through our sign-in provider, Auth0 (Okta), and the assistant only gets an access token. The connector runs on Google Cloud. We don't sell this data or use it for advertising.
Answers
How up to date are the answers?
The assistant reads Farmable when you ask, so it sees everything recorded up to that moment.
Can the assistant get things wrong?
Yes. AI assistants can misread or misreport data. Check answers against your records in Farmable before you rely on them, especially for spraying, compliance or sales decisions.
